What to do when iReal 3D software indicates that the scanned data has reached its maximum limit?
The current version of iReal 3D scanning software has a cap of 100,000 frames for scan data. This limit is typically reached in about 30 minutes when scanning an object. When confronted with the software’s prompt about reaching the data limit, you may encounter a situation where the data is not fully captured.
Here’s the solution:
1. Save the ongoing scanning data as a scanning project file to prevent data loss;
2. Process the data into point cloud data and save it as a point cloud project file;
3. Continue scanning the unfinished part, saving it as a new point cloud project file;
4. Utilize the “Model Alignment” tool in the iReal 3D scanning software or third-party software to merge these files and create a complete 3D model.
What data formats does iReal 3D scanning software support?
It supports universal point cloud formats (PLY, ASC), triangular mesh formats (OBJ, STL) and marker data (mk2).
