3DeVOK V3.1 unveils new ways to scan with great compatibility in both low and high resolutions to perfectly balance the efficiency with quality. The new feature allows users to position 3D scanners close to areas to obtain delicate 3D models (resolution of up to 0.2mm), and also empowers users to scan areas with few details in a long range for a larger field of view to considerately reduce alignment errors and scanning time (scanning distance of up to 1,000 mm).

Smart Color Map

This new function allows users to monitor the scanning process in real-time to ensure accurate scanning results. When scanning an object, a green color map indicates high-quality data capturing, and red shows the opposite. The obvious color differences are beneficial to check the data quality, and performing a close-range and multi-angle scan can alter red to green.

Multi-scene Switch

3DeVOK Studio scanning software supports multi-scene switch among project interface, point cloud, mesh files, and color mapping. It offers the freedom to switch back to project interface to continue scanning and set new resolution, or to interface of point clouds to re-finalize or optimize mesh files. Users can experience different 3d scanning results under various parameter settings without limitation to the number of times, and the entire operation process is hassle-free for beginners.

Undo Data by Frame

When a scanning error occurs, we can choose to delete local point cloud data and re-scan the parts, or recall the wrong data by every frame to save on-site working time greatly and make the scan experience more friendly.

The 3DeVOK Studio scanning software has deep cooperation with GOM Inspect 3D Software. After obtained STL data, it can directly perform data detection, comparison, analysis and processing through direct reading interface with GOM Inspect, which provides high-precision data support for 3DeVOK users.

The suspended scanning process can be proceed once the previous file is imported again. When the scanning is done, the project file will be saved automatically, thus, the on-site work efficiency can be improved largely.

Data recovery

If the software quit unexpectedly, the data can be automatically recovered by starting the software again without re-scanning, which reduces the potential trouble of unexpected exit, and improved the work efficiency.
3D identification and measurement

3D identification and measurement

It can measure the length between points, the angle between lines, and the curved area of triangular meshes for 3D models. The mesh refinement helps smooth the edge of 3D mesh data to increase the accuracy when measuring. This function can meet the simple 3D measurement needs in daily work.
Model alignment

Model alignment

It supports the registration of point cloud files to form a complete 3D model when multiple scans are necessary including large data generated for scanning large-sized objects and front and back alignment for small items. The information of colors and texture can be retained to generate a color triangular mesh model (OBJ file format) when two color point cloud files are aligned.
Small thin-wall castings scanning

Small thin-wall castings scanning

When scanning a small thin-wall casting, after sticking enough markers on the front and back sides, you can then stick a mark point on the three sides of the edge respectively. Under the marker alignment mode, through the three common mark points on the edge, the alignment of the mark points on the front and back sides is automatically completed.
